This creates a simple control model that is easy to understand while still supporting believable drone behavior.

Throttle System Includes Configurable throttle percentage Motor-powered ascent Throttle-based hover height Surface-relative altitude targeting Adjustable vertical response Live throttle HUD feedback 📏 Surface-Relative Hover Height Instead of always measuring altitude from a fixed world-space position, the drone can determine its height relative to the surface directly underneath it.

This allows the drone to react more naturally when flying over terrain, platforms, buildings, ramps, or other changing surfaces.

Example Behavior Low throttle keeps the drone close to the surface. Medium throttle maintains a moderate hover distance. Higher throttle increases the target surface-relative height. Terrain elevation changes can be reflected in the drone's hover behavior. 🧭 Automatic Stabilization The system includes strict X/Z leveling to help the drone remain visually stable while flying.

This prevents excessive unwanted tilting while still allowing smooth directional movement and makes the controller suitable for projects where predictable flight behavior is more important than advanced real-world flight simulation.

Stabilization Features Automatic horizontal leveling Stable Rigidbody orientation Smooth forward movement Smooth backward movement Reduced unwanted roll Reduced unwanted pitch instability ⚙️ Motor Control Motor state directly affects the drone's ability to generate lift.

When the motors are active, the controller applies the forces required for throttle-based flight. When the motors are switched off, lift stops immediately and gravity becomes the dominant force.

Motor-Off Behavior Lift force stops immediately Gravity takes control The drone begins free-fall No artificial altitude hold remains active HUD motor status updates automatically Audio feedback can react to the motor state 🎥 Camera Orbit System The included camera controls allow the player to orbit around the drone using configurable yaw and pitch input.

Camera sensitivity and rotation behavior can be adjusted to suit slower simulation projects or faster action-focused gameplay.

Camera Features Horizontal yaw rotation Vertical pitch rotation Adjustable camera sensitivity Smooth orbit behavior Useful for third-person drone control Easy to adapt to custom camera rigs 🔊 Propeller Audio Feedback Propeller audio can respond dynamically to the current throttle value, giving the player immediate audible feedback about motor activity and flight intensity.

The system can be connected to your own propeller loops, electric motor sounds, turbine effects, or other custom audio.

Possible Audio Uses Idle propeller sound Increasing pitch with throttle Increasing volume with throttle Motor startup feedback Motor shutdown feedback High-throttle flight effects 📊 Live Flight HUD The included HUD provides useful real-time information while flying.

Displayed Information Throttle % Displays the current throttle percentage. Current Height Displays the drone's detected surface-relative height. Motor Status Shows whether the motors are currently active or disabled. The HUD uses TMP_Text components, making it easy to replace the included visuals with your own interface design.

🔧 Easy Unity Integration The package is designed around standard Unity components and can be added to a Rigidbody-based drone setup with minimal configuration.

Main Components Unity Rigidbody Drone controller script Camera orbit setup TMP_Text HUD references AudioSource for propeller feedback Standard Unity input axes Developers can replace the included drone model, camera setup, sounds, and UI without rebuilding the core flight controller.

🛠 Customization Important flight and presentation settings can be adjusted to match different drone types and gameplay styles.
